Luangpu Thongdum
Phra Nimmankowit (Luang Por Thong-dam Thitawanno), Uttharadit.
Born in 1898 in Tapanhin district, Phichit Province, the Venerable Abbot of Wat Tha Thong, Tambon Wangkapii, Muang district, Uttaradit, is 107 years old at the time of writing. A highly benevolent figure, the Venerable Abbot leads a simple life and attracts a lot of followers. He has been the Abbot of the temple since 1925 and has worked hard building structures for the temple and other charity projects and teaching meditation practice to laypeople. He was granted the title Phra Nimmankowit in 1961, and has been head of the provincial clergy since 1967.
Passed away on year 2005.
